Back in the Saddle
November 25, 2009 by Seth Fargher
So I’ve taken a little siesta but now I’m back and ready to bring you the ATV Lifestyle like never before. To tell you the truth, I’m not sure anyone new I was gone. I don’t really know how many people read this blog and judging by the number of comments I receive, I’m guessing only a handful of people manage to stumble across my articles. No matter, I’m going to try my hand at this again in hopes of doing a much better job this time around.
A little update, if you’ve read any of my previous posts you know that freestyle motocross is a passion of mine. Part of my recent hiatus from blogging here has been due to my pursuit of this passion. If my memory serves me correct my last post was something to do with having just begun riding ramps. Well shortly then after I managed to take a couple tumbles and wound up with two concussions and a trip to the ER for my trouble. I considered bailing on the whole freestyle thing but that thought quickly wore off as the concussion subsided.
Since then I’ve continued to pursue this goal, managed to spend two months of my life building a monster of a ramp and have now relocated to Temecula California to really step up my game. I use to chuckle every time I saw my so called “area of expertise” as the ATV Lifestyle but now I’m more intent to embrace it as I truly am living that lifestyle.
Currently my position involves working with the Bomb Squad and H Bomb Films in whatever capacity they need. I’ve been to Dumont for a video shoot for Huevos 12 (just released this week!) attended the Kicker Big Air Bash in Las Vegas and most recently returned from the Baja 1000 where Wayne, Wes and the guys successfully defended their number 1A plate.
Outside of that, I try to get out and ride at least three to four days a week as my end goal is to ride as a member of the Bomb Squad. Moving here was truly the right decision as I’ve been able to train more in the last two weeks than I did in the last 5 months back home.
So that’s it in a nut shell. Please check back as I will continue to chronicle my new life here in southern California and bring you updates on everything ATV and the world of freestyle motocross. I cannot begin to express how blessed I am to be here and what a dream come true the opportunity has been. Please feel free to leave comments or feedback on the blog or as always hit me up on email with questions etc. seth@localheroesNW.com
