Dreams Do Come True

February 18, 2009 by Seth Fargher

This past weekend I had an opportunity to take another step forward in pursuing a personal dream of mine.  At the age of 4 I broke the frame on my LT50 jumping it off a fallen tree I had found in the woods.  Since then I’ve continued to jump every sand dune, step up, and any other mound of dirt I could possibly find to loft me into the air.  I’ve always loved to jump and this past weekend was a great step towards my goal of doing quad freestyle. You might remember my report a while back on a visit I made to the home of Justin Homan.  Justin is one of the original members of the Metal Mulisha freestyle team and he has graciously taken me under his wing as I pursue this passion of mine.  Originally I presented the idea of adding a quad to his line up of riders that does freestyle shows in and around the northwest. (MX Thirteen.com) He was interested enough to supply me with one of his freestyle ramps which I have since modified for my quad.

This past weekend, with the help of several others, I was able to make my first few runs (more like 50) on the ramp and what an experience that was!  It’s safe to say I’ve never been that high on a quad nor had such a smooth takeoff for any jump that I’ve ever hit.

Special thanks to Todd Walter, Jamey Smith and Denis Eisland for all their help with the ramp and providing a place to use it.

I was pretty excited at this point. We were pulling the ramp back for the 3rd time

Here’s a few photos and a video from my first day hitting the ramp.  I’m not sure what the next step is in pursuit of this dream, but I’ll keep you posted :-D
