An introduction

An introduction.

Welcome to my post on the official blog of ATV Sport magazine. My name is Scott Lukaitis and I have been asked to be an author for this segment. I thought it would be prudent for me to give you a little background about me and why you’ll want to read what I write.

I am a freelance photographer and journalist based out of Central New Jersey near the shifting sands of the Jersey shore. During the day my regular job is that of a Parts and Accessories manager at Freehold Honda Triumph

it is a job that I have held for the past several years. In fact all I’ve ever done is work behind the parts counter at powersports dealers in one way or another. As a sophomore in High School I started my journey and have never looked back since. My position there allows me first hand knowledge to great products and wonderful people. I intend to keep my readers up on the latest products and industry news that passes my desk.

Growing up my dad was always taking photos and his passion for photography passed on to my brother and I which lead to starting my other career. The spring of 2005 I started shooting photos and writing race reports for Old Bridge Township’s Raceway Park’s newspaper Raceway News and over time one thing lead to another. I began writing and shooting for other forms of print and web media (Portfolio) and I even started my own photography business,Lukaitis Photo,

to sell prints and display my work. The work at Raceway Park allowed me to cover various forms of motorsports. Over my years working with Raceway News I have covered events ranging from Pit Bike racing to the WPSA national quad races, an AMA Supermoto National to a sport bike stunt show, and motocross racing both locally and nationally.

About a year ago I started another venture. The Webzine NJ Motocross.

This website allows me to explore racing in the great state of NJ. I cover all aspects of racing with a New Jersey twist.

Hopefully this will give you a little insight into who I am. I hope you’ll enjoy reading my work. I plan on writing about just about anything ATV related. I will write product and DVD reviews, race reports from local events, interviews, and even some photo tips.
